Kavya and Nimal wanted their wedding to honour Kandyan tradition while feeling personal and warm. They chose a hill-country estate above Kandy, where the morning mist gave the poruwa ceremony a quiet, almost sacred feel.

The bride wore a Kandyan saree in ivory and gold, and the couple entered to traditional drummers and dancers. For the homecoming, the team transformed the terrace with white orchids and hundreds of candles.

"We wanted our families to feel the weight of the tradition but also to laugh and dance," Kavya said. "Everything came together exactly as we imagined."
